Futurum Updates Two Major Reports on Cybersecurity, Its Market Forecast, and Survey of Key Decision-Makers

The cybersecurity market will grow at an 11.6% CAGR to approximately $288 billion from 2024 to 2029 (see Figure 1), according to an upcoming Futurum Research report. This market growth, spanning all technology areas, industries, and regions, will be driven by the unrelenting growth in the volume and sophistication of cyberattacks. Futurum’s upcoming 1H 2025 Cybersecurity Decision Maker Survey reveals that four out of five organizations experienced a cyber incident over the past 12 months.

No organization is immune, as attackers innovate their approaches by utilizing new fuel in the form of AI. As a result, cybersecurity is established as a board-level priority that merits a growing share of the budget.

Futurum projects that the Risk Management and Security Operations and Identity and Access Segments will outpace the rest of the market in growth, including the Application, Cloud, Data, Endpoint, and Network Security segments. This reflects the increasing sophistication of attack techniques and the fact that attack surfaces are exploding due to the usage of SaaS applications, multi-hybrid cloud infrastructures, and growing networks of IoT devices. It also reflects the precedence of embracing a Zero Trust architecture and shoring up identities, which are the current prime targets of malicious actors. Across all segments, practitioners are cautiously testing the waters with AI-fueled solutions and a move towards a more centralized, platform-driven approach when it comes to their cybersecurity toolchains.

Futurum’s upcoming reports, “1H 2025 Cybersecurity Market Sizing & Forecast Report” and “1H 2025 Cybersecurity Decision Maker Survey, ” will cover these topics and more. Analysts Fernando Montenegro, Mitch Ashley, and Krista Case will explore them in Futurum’s coverage of the RSA Conference 2025 in early May.
